Service Policies

Cancellation of Here & There Service – Here & There Transit is sometimes forced to delay or discontinue service in the event of severe weather conditions. When Barbour County schools are closed due to bad weather, Here & There Transit services are canceled or very limited. Questions about Here & There service during extreme weather conditions can be directed to our office at 304-457-1818.

Cancellation of Ride Reservations  - The cancellation of Demand Response or Non-Emergency Medical must be done two hours prior to your scheduled pick up. Non-Emergency Medical and Demand Response rescheduling will be based on the next available time slot with no guarantee of available accommodations.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Children – There is no age limit to ride Here & There Transit. Children 12 years of age and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Car seats – as required by law – must be used.

General Guidelines – While onboard your Here & There vehicle, please refrain from eating, drinking or smoking. Headphones are required for listening to radios, CD players and other personal electronic devices. Dangerous materials, including car batteries, gasoline, or any other item or substance that could pose a threat to you and your fellow passengers are never permitted. Please report any concerns that you may have to your vehicle operator. Together, we can make your trip on Here & There Transit a safe, pleasant and enjoyable experience.   

Holidays – Here & There Transit does not operate service on the following holidays:New Years Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
 
Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) – Call the day before your trip to reserve NEMT service. Please make your Here & There reservation soon after you finalize your medical appointment date and time.
