Rider's Guide to Here & There Transit
Reservations
Here & There Transit operates “demand response” service throughout Barbour County whereby you can reserve travel to and from your home to any destination within the county. Demand response reservations are required at least the day before travel. Customers who require demand response service for non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) are encouraged to schedule their ride as soon as they acquire appointment dates and times.
You do not need reservations for the Blue and Gray Loop. You can hop onboard anywhere along the travel route. If you live within ¾ mile of the travel route, you can schedule a pick up and ride the Loop to your destination. The Blue & Gray Loop serves locations throughout the Philippi community, including apartment complexes, stores, restaurants and health care facilities.

How to Ride the Bus
All riders using Demand Response and Blue and Gray Loop Route Deviation service are encouraged to be ready to board their vehicle at least five (5) minutes before the scheduled pick up time. Once the vehicle comes to a complete stop and the door is open, please use the handrail to safely board the bus.
Once you are onboard, please place the fare in the farebox. Please have exact change. Take your seat and buckle your seatbelt. Please leave the front seats for seniors or persons with disabilities.Please occupy only one seat and place purses, packages and other personal items safely at your feet within your seat area.
As you get close to your destination, please let your Here & There vehicle operator know that you will be exiting the vehicle soon. If you are uncertain about your stop location, please ask your operator and he/she will happily assist you.
As you exit the vehicle, please watch your step and use the handrail provided. Please stop, listen and look both ways before you cross the street. Cross streets only at corners and crosswalks and obey all traffic lights, stop signs and pedestrian signals.

Wheelchair Accessibility
Here & There Transit vehicles are equipped with wheelchair lifts to accommodate passengers who require transportation within their mobility devices.
Rules of Conduct
These rules are for the safety of you, other passengers, and the driver.
- No passenger can interfere with the safe operation of this bus.
- Please DO NOT talk to the driver while the bus is in motion.
- Firearms, hazardous materials, and open containers ARE NOT allowed on the bus at any time.
- Passengers must comply with state laws regarding seat belts and car seats.
- Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult unless pre-authorized by Here and There Transit.
- No passenger is permitted to verbally, physically, or sexually harass passengers or the driver.
- No soliciting.
- Smoking is NOT ALLOWED on the bus at any time.
- For the safety of others, passengers seen to be carrying pests, such as, but not limited to, lice, bedbugs, or roaches, will not be permitted to ride the bus.
